The department comprises of Dr.Nakul Sinha & Dr. Mansoor hasan(Padamshri Awardee) ,Dr. R K Mishra(DM),Dr. V K Tewari(DM)& Dr. Naveen Jamwal(DM). Dr. Mansoor Hasan(Padamshree Awardee) did Post graduate training in Cardiology in UK at London Chest and St Bartholomews Hospital. He started super speciality DM Cardiology program at KGMU. He has recently been awarded the PADMASHRI by the President of India for his services to the development of Cardiology. Dr Nakul Sinha did his graduation, post graduation and DM Cardiology (super specialization) from KG’s medical College Lucknow and for a short period worked as a faculty member in the Deptt of Medicine. Before he joined Sahara hospital as Sr. Consultant & Chief Interventional Cardiologist, he was Professor and Head of department of Cardiology at SGPGI for more than 15 years.He is expert in all Coronary and non coronary interventional procedures, he has pioneered the concept and practice of day care angiography by the radial (hand) route.
Dr.Mishra is a Sr. cardiologist with experience of over 20 years in Govt.Service. Dr. Tewari & Dr. Jamwal are experts in intervention cardiologists’ .Dr Jamwal has got Fellowship Intervention Cardiology (Escort’s Heart Institute, New Delhi& also Associated Fellow of SCAI (Society For Cardiovascular Angioplasties and Intervention)
Both are expert in all Coronary Interventions, with special interest in Coronary Angioplasties- all complex procedures, Echocardiographies- both adult and congenital and pacemaker implantations.
